'NL' in full means 'Leaders of Nigeria', Nigeria Since her independence(1960), 80% of her governance has been flooded by a group of Irresponsible and Inhuman politicians. who under the umbrella of politics,  has done more harm to this great nation than they have done good. A nation with all her Natural resources cannot boast of better life for her citizens, a nation capable of becoming world power, judging from its wealth of natural endowment, has been drastically reduces to nothing, thanks to a group of leaders who are insensitive to the basic needs of her(Nigerian) people. No Electricity, no pipe-borne water, Low infrastructural facilities, and high rate of insecurity among others.

Since her Independence Infrastructural crime has been on constant increase, she has been Labelled as a High risk nation by global perspective, because of  high rate of different categories of corruptions. As a result, Tourism is practically Non-functional, diseases are on the increase, The total economy of this highly endowed nation is constantly experiencing great inflation, The citizens live in a vicious cycle; where the rich gets richer and the poor gets poorer. This has lingered on for Decades, her politics has known nothing better  than selfishness, corruption and gross marginalization of the silent majority, by the vocal minority. The silent majority are more of poor background, of whom the weight of huge atrocities committed by the vocal minority, is placed on their head.

The rule of law has been laid down only for the  silent majority. When a leader commits a punishable offense , he/she is left to go free, but when one of these silent majority commits an offense, the hell is let loose.Oh! what a nation, highly blessed, perfect location, huge natural endowment., yet 89% or more of her citizens are poor; living on less than $2 per-day, but their so-called leaders have fat accounts littered in different banks in different parts of the world. Why this selfishness? Why this man-inhumanity-to-man? . Why this gross evil by the leaders, to a nation and her citizens?

The people of this great nation, more than any other nation  on earth, has great ability to instill patience and tolerance, hoping that one day, victory and normalcy will come. But when will this victory come?, when will this change come?.

From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven has suffered violence, and the violent take it by force. Is it going to be the same with Nigeria?

God Bless Nigeria.

The 58-year-old woman was hospitalised after she developed severe abdominal swelling due to excessive eating and drinking, state-run China News Service reported.

During the operation, fire broke out when the gas burst out of her abdomen.

The surgeons had to remove her entire stomach, the report quoted Wang Hao, a doctor at the Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital in Jiangsu province as saying.

Wang said the incident occurred when the ethyl alcohol in the patient’s stomach came in contact with the electric surgical knife.

“Normally, people will stop eating when they feel full. However, drinking alcohol during a rich meal can make people ignore their body’s signals, and they eat too much,” he said.

Chinese celebrated their week-long New Year also known as the Spring Festival this week during which people eat and drink heavily at the family get-togethers.

The chaos in the Central African Republic has continued to rage on as new footage of a man being lynched has been released.

The man was dragged through the streets nearly naked by soldiers while residents of the area filmed and photographed the scene.

The victim was believed to be part of a group of Muslim Rebels, named Seleka, which had been recently ousted after seizing power in March 2013.

According to Daily Mail reports, about 20 uniformed soldiers accused a member of the crowd of having belonged to Seleka – the mostly Muslim rebel group that seized power in a coup last March, before stabbing him repeatedly until he was dead.

A soldier stamped on the lifeless body, which was then dragged nearly naked through the streets as residents looked on and took photographs.

Ten minutes earlier the new interim president, Catherine Samba-Panza, stood just 20m away where she addressed a crowd of at least 1,000 soldiers. The Army effectively disappeared during nine months of Seleka rule.

A 17-year-old girl from India committed suicide after her parents told her she had to stop using Facebook, police said on Friday.
Aishwarya Dahiwal was found hanging in her bedroom on Wednesday after an argument with her parents in Maharashtra state’s Parbhani city.
“On Wednesday night, she had an argument with her parents who told her not to just use Facebook and her mobile all day for chatting,” the officer from Nanal Peth police station said. “They told her to focus on her studies. After the argument, she locked herself in her room and was found hanging later, with a suicide note nearby,” an investigating officer who wished to remain anonymous has said. Police are currently examining the note, which refers to the argument and Facebook.
In the suicide note she wrote shortly after the argument, Aishwarya blamed her parents and the restrictions they put on her Facebook use.
“Is Facebook so bad?” she wrote. “I cannot stay in a home with such restrictions as I can’t live without Facebook.”
Newsweek Pakistan says that, with Internet access spreading rapidly across India, many high school students are ditching their phones in favor of communicating exclusively over Facebook.

Diversification key to international higher education

A deeper understanding of student mobility trends can help in not only shaping effective national policies but also informed institutional strategies.

According to the latest Institute of International Education, or IIE, Open Doors report, the number of international students at United States universities and colleges has continued to grow, reaching a record high of nearly 820,000 in the 2012-13 academic year.

In this blog, I focus on three key drivers of growth based on the year-to-year changes in international student enrolment by academic level, type of institution and source countries.

Higher revenue potential: Bachelor level enrolment becoming attractive

In this post-recession environment, many higher education institutions in the US have shown greater interest in recruiting more international students, especially at the bachelor degree level.

For example, new international undergraduate student enrolment at the University of California in Los Angeles grew seven-fold – from 142 to 1,012 – between 2008 and 2012, reflecting a keenness to attract international students who pay fees higher than out-of-state tuition for four years.

The following chart shows that the increase in bachelor degree students was previously more robust as compared to masters and doctoral level student growth.

Following the global recession, international student enrolment at the bachelor level slowed, but shortly after rebounded at a swift pace. In contrast, masters and doctoral level enrolments took much longer to recover from the economic downturn, only showing the first signs of a comeback in the autumn of 2012.
