FUTA loses Pro-Chancellor

The Federal University of Technology, Akure has announced the death of the University’s Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Governing Council, Mahmood Yahaya, SAN. Yahaya died on Friday, November 15, 2013 in Kaduna. He has been buried in Kaduna in accordance with Islamic rites.
Yahaya, 61, would be remembered for his sterling contributions to the development of FUTA within the short time he held sway as Chairman of the Governing Council. He was an astute administrator, erudite lawyer and peace builder who contributed immensely to the development of his Community, State and Nigeria.
May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace.
